exhibition design

The exhibition "Józef Hecht. Artistic Forces" presents over sixty works by this artist in a spacious and thoughtfully designed arrangement. They represent all the artistic disciplines he practiced. The title of the exposition refers to the "forces" – the artist's passions that shaped his artistic journey.

The exhibition space is characterized by a harmonious color scheme: sea green, white, and warm wood tones. High ceilings with black supporting columns and a spotlighting system effectively highlight the qualities of the presented works. Turquoise walls serve as distinctive information panels with bilingual texts about Hecht's work, including a section titled "Artistic Forces", elegantly contrasting with the predominantly white walls on which the framed works are hung.

The exposition leads through three areas close to the artist: cities and landscapes of northern and southern Europe, the world of plants, animals, and the four primordial elements (water, earth, air, fire), and the artistic printmaking workshop. Hecht's profile and work are shown through his passion for travel, his fascination with the natural world in its various forms, and his love for copperplate engraving, to which the artist devoted all his energy.

The central part of the gallery is occupied by a characteristic curved turquoise seating area placed on a white platform, complemented by potted palm trees, introducing an element of natural greenery. The wooden floor provides warmth throughout the space, serving as a neutral backdrop for the exhibited works and arrangement elements. The whole creates an inviting atmosphere for contemplation of Józef Hecht's artistic path..
